Air Problems?
Every time you replace a section of pipe or take something apart, you introduce air into your network. Air is also released whenever fluid pressure is dropped or changes direction! This air can create real problems in pipelines and especially in control valve pilot systems. Cla-Val offers solutions to eliminate air in your networks.
One of the solutions is the Cla-Val Model 39 Series triple action Anti-Slam Air Release & Vaccum Breaker Valves. They protect piping and equipment against water hammer, surge conditions and vacuum formation during filling or draining operations. These valves are constructed of stainless steel and are in-stock at Cla-Val.

Removing Air in the Valve
The X101AR is a valve position indicator with an automatic air release function. The valve position indicator is designed to visually display valve position quickly and easily. A stainless steel of delrin rod fastened directly to the valve stem moves up and down inside a Pyrex tube. As air accumulates in the cover chamber, the internal float ball is lowered causing small amounts of accumulated air to be released through the small orifice. Once air is released, the float poppet closes against the seat creating a drip tight seal. The X101AR can be installed on any new or retrofitted on any Cla-Val main valve quickly.
